PTTF organized Table Tennis Event at 34th National Games, Quetta from 25th May to 29th May 2023 under the Umbrella of NOC Pakistan. Players from 14 units of PTTF including Departments and Provinces participated in the event. Total number of players were 140.

Olympic Solidarity ITTF Level-II Coaching Course

17th to 27th June, 2023

PTTF organized for the very first time in Pakistan, Olympic Solidarity Coaching and Training Course/Camp from 17th to 27th June, 2023 at Multipurpose Sports Complex and auditorium of Punjab Sports Board at Lahore. PTTF is truly grateful to Pakistan Olympic Association for awarding the subject course / camp. Mr. Ramzi Ben Hadj Mabrouk ITTF nominated expert from Tunisia conducted the course/camp. In all, 18 participants from affiliated units participated in the course/camp out of which 9 candidates were declared / certified passed ITTF level-2 Coaches.

Team consisted of Mr. Sheikh Rashid (Manager), Mr. Fawad Ur Rehman (Coach), Ms. Hoor Fawad (Player), Mr. Abbas Amjad (Player), Mr. Taha Bilal (Player). All expenses of participation were borne by the officials and players.

Pakistan Table Tennis Team participated in 26th Asian Table Tennis Championships from 3rd to 10th September, 2023 Korea. Mr. Ejaz Ali (Manager) and Mr. Kifayat Ullah Khan (Coach), were the officials and Mr. Shah Khan, Mr. Obaid Shah, Mr. Taimur Khan, Mr. Zain Ul Salam, Ms. Haiqa Hassan, Ms. Hoor Fawad, Ms. Fatima Khan, Ms. Kalsoom Khan were the players. PTTF extended financial support to Mr. Shah Khan, Rs. 300,000 and Ms. Haiqa Hassan, Rs. 100,000.

Additionally, Mr. Ejaz Ali represented us as a Delegate and actively participated in the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Asian Table Tennis Union.

The Pakistan Table Tennis Federation sponsored tracksuits, wearing kits, and return air tickets for all players and officials traveling from Pakistan to Kazakhstan and back. I am proud to report that the Pakistan Team performed exceptionally well against some of the best players of the world from top table tennis countries. Following the conclusion of the championships, the contingent returned home safe and sound.

Annual General Meeting of Pakistan Table Tennis Federation

The Annual General Meeting of the Pakistan Table Tennis Federation (PTTF) was held on January 25, 2025, in Lahore. The proceedings commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a warm welcome from Mr. Ahmer Mallick, President PTTF, who presided over the meeting in place of Chairman Mr. Aamir Jan, due to his personal emergency. The quorum was confirmed before the meeting was formally called to order. Key office bearers and representatives from provincial associations and affiliated organizations attended the meeting. With the Chair’s permission, Mr. Ejaz Ali, Secretary General PTTF, led the meeting proceedings, conducting discussions in accordance with the circulated agenda and working papers. The AGM served as a platform for reviewing federation affairs, discussing strategic developments, and reinforcing the commitment to the growth of table tennis in Pakistan.

60th National Table Tennis Championships 2025

January 23–27, 2025, Lahore

The Pakistan Table Tennis Federation, in collaboration with the Punjab Table Tennis Association, successfully hosted the 60th National Table Tennis Championships from January 23–27, 2025, in Lahore. The event featured 320 players, 256 men and 64 women representing 14 departmental and provincial associations. Mr. Arif Saeed, President of the Pakistan Olympic Association, inaugurated the championship as Chief Guest at the opening ceremony and commended PTTF President Mr. Ahmer Mallick and his team for their efforts in promoting the sport. He also participated in friendly matches with national and para table tennis players. Pakistan Army dominated the championships, winning both the men’s and women’s team titles, while Pakistan WAPDA secured runner-up positions in both categories. Lt. Col. Muhammad Ali Shah, Additional Director DHA Lahore, was the Chief Guest at the team event ceremony. In the singles finals Shah Khan (Army) defeated Hamza Akram (WAPDA) to win the men’s title, while Haiqa Hassan (Army) triumphed over Hoor Fawad (Army) to claim the women’s singles title. The closing ceremony was graced by Mr. Khizer Afzaal Chaudhry, Director General, Sports Board Punjab.

South Asian Regional Youth Championships 2025 Kathmandu, Nepal

April 24–27, 2025

Pakistan participated with a 7-player, 2-official contingent in the South Asian Regional Youth Table Tennis Championships held in Kathmandu. The team competed in U-15 and U-19 categories across singles, doubles, team, and mixed doubles events.

  • Abdaal Muhammad Khan won Silver in U-15 Boys’ Singles and U-15 Mixed Doubles (with Zunaira Khan), and Bronze in U-15 Boys’ Doubles and Team Events.
  • Taha Bilal and Zunaira Khan won Bronze in U-19 Mixed Doubles.
  • U-19 Boys’ Team (Abdaal, Taha, Ataul, Mutahar, Moosa) secured Bronze.

Pakistan won a total of 2 Silver and 4 Bronze medals. Abdaal Muhammad Khan also qualified for the 29th Asian Youth Championships in Uzbekistan (June 26 – July 2, 2025).

World Table Tennis Day 2025 “Diversity & Inclusion”

The Pakistan Table Tennis Federation celebrated World Table Tennis Day 2025 on 23rd April 2025 across Pakistan at 27 different locations. More than 9,000 individuals, including students, players, coaches, laborers, teachers, and table tennis enthusiasts, participated in the events.

Chromatex Chemicals organized All Pakistan Master Cup Table Tennis Tournament at Lahore from Feb 29 to Mar 3, 2024. 32 men and 16 women players participated in the event.

In addition to the competitive matches, cash prizes were awarded to the top position holders, recognizing their outstanding performances throughout the tournament.
The Chief Guest for the event was Ms. Yasmin Akhtar, the Director of the Sports Board Punjab, who presented the awards and encouraged the athletes.
This tournament not only highlighted the talent in table tennis but also aimed to promote the sport across the nation.

ITTF Summit and AGM 2025

22nd – 27th May, 2025, Qatar

The ITTF Summit and Annual General Meeting 2025 was held in Doha, Qatar from 22nd –27th May 2025, bringing together the global table tennis community for strategic discussions, and governance proceedings. Mr. Ahmer Mallick, President PTTF, represented Pakistan at this prestigious international forum. The participation of Pakistan in this significant global event reflects the Federation’s commitment to strengthening international partnerships and contributing to the advancement of table tennis worldwide.

30th Junior National Table Tennis Championship, 2025

11th - 14th July 2025, Islamabad

The 30th Junior National Table Tennis Championship 2025, organized by the Islamabad Table Tennis Association in collaboration with the POF Sports Directorate, was successfully held from 11th to 14th July 2025 at the POF Sports Complex, Wah Cantt. Over 200 young athletes from across Pakistan participated, reflecting great enthusiasm, discipline, and sportsmanship. The event featured 13 competitive categories, including a special unified doubles event for special children. The Pakistan Army emerged dominant, securing top positions in most categories. The opening ceremony was graced by Col. Ghulam Rabbani, while the closing ceremony, attended by dignitaries and senior officials, was presided over by Maj. Gen. Muhammad Kashif Azad, who distributed trophies and medals. A special shield was presented to him in appreciation of his support. The championship concluded as a resounding success, strengthening youth engagement and reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to developing table tennis talent nationwide.

The Pakistan Sports Board hosted a Cash Award Ceremony to honor 7 medal-winning athletes of Pakistan youth Table Tennis players, who was participated in South Asian Regional Youth Table Tennis Championships 2025, held in Kathmandu, Nepal from 24-27 April, 2025. This groundbreaking initiative reflects a new era of appreciation acknowledging not only the athletes who brought glory to the nation. A total of over 14.5 million PKR was distributed as a token of recognition for their remarkable performances on international platforms. The awards were presented by the Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination, Rana Sanaullah Khan, Secretary IPC, Mr. Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani, and Director General PSB, Mr. Yasir Pirzada. This ceremony marks a significant step forward in strengthening and supporting the sports culture of Pakistan by celebrating both the talent on the field and the leadership behind it.

National Hopes Week 2025

16th - 22nd July 2025, Peshawar

The Pakistan Table Tennis Federation (PTTF) organized the ITTF Grassroots Activity and Talent Identification Programme from 1–10 November 2025 under the auspices of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).
The programme engaged around 500 U-15 students from schools and academies nationwide, delivering standardized coaching, talent identification, and foundational training. Conducted in Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, and Quetta, it significantly contributed to the long-term development of table tennis in Pakistan.

Jashan-e-Azadi Master Cup

14th -17th August 2025, Lahore

The Punjab Table Tennis Association successfully organized the Jashan-e-Azadi Masters Cup Table Tennis Tournament from 14th – 17th August 2025 at the Chromatex Table Tennis Hall, Lahore. The event featured the top 32 men and 16 women players from across the country, reflecting a high standard of competition. The tournament also served as the official selection trials for Pakistan’s National Table Tennis Team for the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games, scheduled to be held from 7–21 November 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Grassroot Activity and Talent Identification Program

1st - 10th November 2025, across Pakistan

The Pakistan Table Tennis Federation (PTTF) successfully organized the ITTF Grassroots Activity and Talent Identification Programme from 1–10 November 2025 under the auspices of the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF).
The programme aimed to promote table tennis at the grassroots level, identify emerging talent, and provide structured foundational training to young athletes. Supervised by qualified coaches, it ensured standardized coaching methods and effective talent evaluation.
Approximately 500 students from schools and academies nationwide participated, with a primary focus on Under-15 (U-15) athletes to enable early technical assessment and systematic talent development.
To ensure nationwide outreach, the programme was conducted in Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, and Quetta, where coaching clinics, talent trials, and skill-development workshops were held, contributing significantly to the long-term development of table tennis in Pakistan.

6th Islamic Solidarity Games

7th - 21st November 2025, Riyadh, Saudi Rabia

The Pakistan Table Tennis Team participated in the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games 2025, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from 7–21 November 2025. The contingent comprised Mr. Ejaz Ali (Manager), Mr. Irfan Ullah Khan (Coach), men’s players Muhammad Shah Khan and Taimur Khan, and women’s players Kalsoom Khan, Bisma Faryal, and Hoor Fawad. The team delivered commendable performances against strong opposition, demonstrating skill, determination, and sportsmanship. Participation in the Games provided valuable international exposure and competitive experience, contributing to the athletes’ preparation for future elite-level competitions.

35th National Games

6th - 13th December 2025, Karachi

The Pakistan Table Tennis Federation (PTTF) successfully organized the Table Tennis competitions of the 35th National Games 2025, held from 7th to 11th December 2025 in Karachi. The event was conducted in a highly professional, well-coordinated, and disciplined manner under the able leadership of Mr. Ejaz Ali, Chairman, Organizing Committee, and Mr. Mohsin Raza, Secretary, Organizing Committee. Their dedicated efforts ensured the smooth and efficient conduct of the championships in a competitive and befitting sporting environment. The successful execution of the Table Tennis events at the 35th National Games stands as a testament to PTTF’s strong organizational capacity and its unwavering commitment to the promotion and development of table tennis at the national level.

IOC Olympic Solidarity Scholarship – Los Angeles 2028

A significant milestone for Pakistan Table Tennis, Ms. Haiqa Hassan has been awarded an Olympic Solidarity Scholarship for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games. The scholarship, valued at USD 13,500 per annum, supports high-performance training, coaching, and international exposure under the IOC Olympic Solidarity Programme. The award reflects the joint efforts of the Pakistan Table Tennis Federation (PTTF) and the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) and was formalized at a signing ceremony held at the POA Headquarters in the presence of Mr. Ahmer Mallick, President, PTTF, and Mr. Khalid Mehmood, Secretary General, POA. This achievement recognizes Ms. Haiqa Hassan’s talent and highlights the continued commitment of PTTF and POA to elite athlete development and Olympic pathway support.

Para Table Tennis Championships

2nd – 3rd December 2025, Qayyum Stadium Peshawar, KPK

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Table Tennis Association (KPK TTA) successfully organized the Para Table Tennis Championships from 2–3 December 2025 at Qayyum Stadium, Peshawar, in observance of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The event featured over 26 para-athletes from various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, competing in standing, wheelchair, and open singles events (men and women) under recognized para table tennis classification standards. The championships promoted inclusivity, fair competition, and talent identification, reflecting the commitment of the Pakistan Table Tennis Federation and its affiliated units to accessibility and the development of para sports nationwide.
